Feature design wall panel

A bespoke parametrically designed wall panel designer for the lobby entrance for Arteks Engineering marketing and sales office in Sofia, Bulgaria

This bespoke limestone panel was created for the sales office of Arteks Engineering—one of Sofia’s most established architect-developer-investors. Conceived as a calm yet expressive feature, the design portrays a series of vertically rising, softly interwoven reliefs. The subtle curvature and rhythmic transitions give the stone a sense of movement, almost like a slow-growing organic form captured in solid material. In the space, the panel works both as a sculptural element and as a quiet anchor that elevates the architectural atmosphere.

Bringing this piece to life required an intensive and highly collaborative design process with Arteks. We moved through numerous design iterations, backed by 3D-printed prototypes, visualisations, and VR walkthroughs, to ensure the geometry worked beautifully from every angle and under different lighting conditions. Each refinement round was a dialogue—balancing aesthetic ambition, tactile quality, and the client’s expectations for a statement element in their interior.

Parametric design played a central role, allowing us to generate and compare ideas quickly. More importantly, it gave us a flexible framework that could be fine-tuned by hand. This mixture of precise parametric control supported by careful manual adjustments was essential for achieving a form that feels both meticulously designed and naturally flowing.

The model was developed in a popular 3d program Blender, with the Tissue add-on providing critical capabilities for shaping and testing the surface behavior before fabrication.

The final result is a CNC-milled panel that unites craftsmanship, digital design, and thoughtful iteration.
