Presenting at Blender Conference 2019

Date of event: Oct 2019 in Amsterdam

I was humbled to have been accepted as part of the 2019 presentations roster to talk about how Blender can be used for architectural design. It was a time in Amsterdam with a very lively energy, and lots of exciting presentations and people to meet. This was my first international conference and I felt quite prepared and happy to present, in no small part due to the amazing London Blender Team giving me the opportunity to keep speeking at the meetups.

Here is my presentation. Note that it was originally hosted on Blender’s own youtube channel, but the audio quality is rather unfathomable. So this version has slightly amplified audio.

The Presentation

The conference

There were many amazing presentations, with Ian Hubert’s (link) and Allessandro Zompareli’s (link) lectures being some of my favourite ones. It’s easy to pick up more then a few tips and tricks from all the experts present.

The City

I have realised that I have visited Amsterdam more than any other city in which I haven’t lived. I love the city, the quietness by the relative lack of traffic in the city centre, the openess created by the wide spaces between the building - the streets and the canals. So amongst the things one must do while visiting Amsterdam, no trip would be complete without taking a stroll along the canals. We also paid a visit to Blender’s new home.
